What data do you collect about me, and from which sources?

We offer a range of products and services dedicated to IT businesses and IT professionals. Depending on which services or products you use, various data from different sources may come into play.

Much of the data we process is voluntarily provided by yourself. For example, when you decide to subscribe to our newsletter, you share your name and email address with us.

Information such as your contact details might be shared with us through a referral or when you or your company and Tech Enthusiast are engaged in a contract or project together – for example, your colleague carbon copies you into and email that is sent to us and this data is saved into our customer register.

When you visit www.techenthusiast.com we send one or more cookies – a small file containing a string of characters – to your computer or other device that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our products, services, content and for retargeting advertising. For retargeting ads, we use Google AdWords Remarketing to promote Tech Enthusiast across the Internet, in particular on the Google Display Network. Google AdWords Remarketing allows us to tailor our marketing to better suit your needs and only display ads that are relevant to you. If you do not wish to see ads from Tech Enthusiast, you can opt out in several ways: a) Opt-out of Google’s use of cookies by visiting Google’s Ads Settings here; b) You can adjust or decline the cookies on www.techenthusiast.com by clicking the paperclip icon at the bottom right side of our web page; c) Opt-out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page here.

You can read Typeform’s privacy policy here and you can always skip the fields that ask for personal information, allowing you to stay anonymous.
  • MailerLite, which we use as a newsletter tool that stores information you shared with us when subscribing to the newsletter, along with technical data and newsletter interaction data collected through cookies, web beacons, unique identifiers and similar tracking technologies like Google Analytics, for example. Web beacons are single-pixel gifs that are included in emails we send. These collect information like email open, IP address, browser, and email client type, etc. We use the web beacon collected data along with the other data MailerLite collects to understand how our email campaign performed and what we can do to improve it in the future.
